Homemade vanilla syrup

Lewis Jaffrey, recipe sufficient for 25 oz: Mix in a saucepan 3 Madagascan vanilla pods cut in halves lengthwise with 33 oz of sugar and 25 oz of still mineral water. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a bottle, cool and store in refrigerator.
